Elyna Tan, CEO


Elyna Tan joined Paradise Group of Restaurant as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Paradise (F&B) Malaysia Sdn Bhd in 2011. Her responsibilities entail managing all aspects of the business from overseeing the overall operational matters, business development, to developing marketing plans for all 3 restaurant in Malaysia - Paradise Inn, KungFu Paradise and Paradise Dynasty. She also works closely with Eldwin Chua, Chief Executive Officer and Edlan Chua, Chief Operating Officer of Paradise Group, Singapore, to ensure standardisation in the brand's promise and delivery to Malaysia.

At the age of 36, Elyna brings with her over 10 years of experience in various industries that include food and beverage, corporate sales, business development, advertising, brand building and promotion. She also has trade publication experience with Retail World Asia, Hospitality Asia, and Travel& Dine Asia.

Some of her key career highlights include the study of brand creation and growth of Australia's retail market during the Suria KLCC Retail Study Tour; and the study of China market, culture and trade with 24 F&B operators during her tenure with Capital Land Retail & Spring.

Elyna is a graduate from Curtin University of Technology, Australia with a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies and Management (Major in Management and Marketing).

It was working part-time in seafood restaurants in his late teens that sparked 30-something Eldwin’s interest in the culinary world, particularly seafood. And this culminated in him taking the plunge to start his own restaurant at the tender age of 22. Despite his youth, Eldwin founded his restaurant on a strong foundation of offering delicious home-style dishes made with quality ingredients offered at good value. A decade on, this continues to be the linchpin of the Paradise Group business.

Even now with full-fledge kitchen teams headed by experienced executive chefs, Edwin is still very much hands-on bringing new dishes to the Paradise menu. Taking pride in providing quality cuisine with good value, Edwin takes seriously the comments that he receives and uses these to constantly improve the his menu and services.

Edwin was awarded the overall winner of 'The Entrepreneur of the Year 2011' by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) and Rotary Cub of Singapore.




Edlan joined Paradise Group in 2006 when Seafood Paradise has grown appreciably and Taste Paradise was making its first foray into the restaurant scene. Despite not coming from culinary background, Edlan passionately took the challenge by learning as much as he could about the business, from the costing to people management and marketing. It is in this spirit that Edlan approaches his role, and as the leader, he is dedicated to instilling the company's value to his team.

With the right attitudes in place, he believes that Paradise has the potential to grow into an established brand while upholding its philosophy of quality food, good service and true value to Paradise's customers.
